Now, especially you read about kids just don't really drink like they used to.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Yeah, it's definitely definitely like just so much more knowledge out there for people like want to understand because like even I'm watching that Red Hot Chili Peppers documentary on Netflix right now.
how do you do that and play a show tomorrow that's one thing I'm always in awe of with bands too is just like how the f*** do you get along with the same group of dudes for 10 or 20 years like it just seems so difficult but like how do you weather that is it just because you guys just happen to be agreeable
People that are easy to get along with or.
you know i'm one type of dude mick jagger is another type of dude like mick jagger loves being a rock star and playing these fucking songs and he's gonna do it until he's in the dirt and henry rons was kind of like i liked that part of my life like i loved being in a band but ultimately i'm the kind of person who wants to take on new challenges and and try new things and so ultimately i just wasn't gonna be able to keep doing black flag forever because i wanted to get bored of it on
work that well yeah um but i mean aside from that you can do everything from your phone yeah you know how much has like technology changed the whole experience of going on tour because i i just have all these memories of going to hardcore shows in the you know late 90s
and you like we were lucky because we have map quest i guess and you would print that shit out off direction map quest and then you get lost and you have to stop at a random gas station and like pray that you're going to be able to understand what the indian guy working at the counter is talking about when he's telling you how to get back on the highway like is it does it feel unbelievably turnkey to you guys now at this point yeah it's easy man like yeah
Just so much chaos back in the day like that.
Did you guys have a time period where during your initial rise, was it part of your goal to break into the real, real mainstream?
Or was that always something that seemed a little outside of the scope of the music you were making?
But that's so insane.
Cause like slaughter prevail are like, you know, if I'm talking to like a random person that doesn't know anything about heavy music and I play them, I'm playing them to like, say like, listen to how extreme metal can get.
And the fact that they're able to have that big of a fan base making music that to me sounds like completely insane.
Cause I, okay.
There's the first song that came up, I think on your Apple, uh, top songs was the song warrior.
Yeah.
It was that, that's what it's called, right?
Yeah.
