No inquest.
In fact, the Commissioner's words at the time were that although he understood, he said, Aggie, I understand and realise that this might not give you any solace, but a coronial inquest will make findings and it'll teach us what to do better next time.
You know, I did my research, I understood what the coronial inquest intends to do, what it's going to look at, the system failures, how could this be prevented.
So given the significance of an inquest and why it's done, why hasn't it been done?
In fact, over the last five and a half years, what's been done differently by Victoria Police?
Absolutely nothing.
Intervention orders are still being breached.
Women are still being murdered.
Okay.
We haven't heard murders in the context of, say, Celeste, where she wasn't intimately involved with this person, didn't really know him.
The ones we hear about are domestic violence murders.
Just as important, intervention orders in place, breached.
Nothing's been done different.
Very.
Yes, absolutely.
Could it have been prevented?
What could the police have done differently?
There's so many things that could have been done differently.
But we want the coroner to make those findings.
