When this happened to Celeste, there was a report on Occurrent Affairs that in Tasmania they had trialled ankle bracelets and electronic monitoring, and they found that for the offence of stalking, stalking had decreased by 100%.
100% for those that were being electronically monitored.
So, you know, I remember raising that at the time with the Secretary of the Department of Justice.
And, of course, what am I told?
And this is another thing, sick and tired of the smoke mirrors.
Oh, Aggie, that's, you know, they're just saying that.
They're not really working, though.

I still recall the afternoon that Celeste walked home from work.
It was something like four o'clock in the afternoon and she found me in tears because I was watching the news where they were reporting Hannah Clark and her children.
And I was devastated.
And she's come in seeing me like that and she sat down and she's following the news herself and she's really upset by it.
And I see her get emotional.
We had no idea that just a few months later it would be her.
You know, in Hannah Clarke's case, it was an ex-partner.
In Celeste's case...
