I can't remember what number episode that was, but I remember the day we recorded it in the back of the gym in Cork.
We were both absolutely freezing by the end of it.
Claire is one of my dear friends.
She's a musician, very talented musician.
And she has been to Palestine with us.
She's taught the kids in the Lodgy Centre music.
She's an exceptional fiddle player and a singer and a songwriter.
She's a multi-instrumentalist, really.
But the reason that Claire came to mind is Claire has been unapologetic in speaking out for people who are being oppressed.
She spoke out very strongly for Palestine over the last number of years.
And
When I think about the last few years and how more people have become aware of what's happening in Palestine, a lot of weight has been shouldered by Irish artists in speaking out for Palestine.
And I don't think any of the artists that I know would ever say this, but I'm happy enough to say that a lot of them have paid a heavy price for speaking out, but haven't ever batted an eyelid
in doing so and Claire is an absolute legend and I think you guys would have a great chat and I also think that from having worked in podcast world for quite a long time like the women's voices are underrepresented in the podcast world for sure yeah and Claire is has a voice that's worth hearing and worth listening to
