And this guy is a teacher of the law.

So he's quizzing him.

He's testing him.

And he's like, oh, you got that right.

Love the Lord your God with all your heart and love your neighbors.

You're going places.

You got the right idea.

Nice job.

And then this guy responds, you're not far from the kingdom.

Well, that Daniel 7 should have popped into his head there.

And so then I wanted to read Matthew 26 when Jesus was arrested and he's on trial.

And they're questioning him.

And so I'll pick it up in 62 of Matthew 26.

Then the high priest stood up and said to Jesus, are you not going to answer?

What is this testimony that these men are bringing against you?

Because they're saying he's a blasphemer.

Because of the verse that all this is coming from is the two coming forward in verse 60 where he says, they say, this fellow said, I am able to destroy the temple of God and rebuild it in three days.

Ooh, so they're like, why would you say something like that?

So Jesus remained silent.

The high priest said to him, I charge you under oath by the living God.
