And so

But the reason I bring that up is because these aren't things that were true just for Israel or just for the folks in the Exodus.
These Ten Commandments are true for all of us of all time.
This is the ideal.
This is the way to the good life.
And you had mentioned that when the idols came into play, particularly the golden calf moment.
Think about when that occurred in the story of the Exodus story.
Just think about this.
They made that idol.
They took all the gold that was given to them from when they plundered the Egyptians.
So they plundered the Egyptians when they clearly have no way that they're ever going to be able to beat these guys.
The Egyptian hegemon was way more powerful than Israel was at the time.
But with the hand of God, they were able to essentially conquer Egypt
plunder their gold, go through the parting of the Red Sea.
