She had three drunk driving stops and she hadn't only been punished for one of them and she was out still driving.

And I came home at lunch and saw her at a stoplight, you know, lights out her eyes.

There was nothing behind that.

And so we got in a big fight and she called my unit commander and said, you know, maybe Alan shouldn't come home tonight.

And then he tells me that.

And so instead, uh,

Well, I did come home with an escort, if you will.

Packed up all my stuff, grabbed the dog, and left.

She was passed out on the floor the whole time.

And then she lasted about another week, two weeks, I think, before she just drank herself to death.

No.

No.

I tried to get help for her from the insurance that they use in the military, it's TRICARE.

And she had used up all her benefits.

You know, she went to rehab a couple of times.

That'll do it.

And I went in and said, hey, she's got to have rehab or she is not going to live another month.

And the ladies were very nice, but they're like, we can't help her.

Can't force her.

And yeah, she didn't last.
