You just have to swim a couple laps.
I actually didn't have to do it because I ended up taking scuba as a PE course.
And so just my first day of scuba, I just swam like two laps and they're like, okay, that's enough for the swim test.
You're qualified.
but the regular test is like you you get into otherwise they have twin tests like at the as graduation years they have like certain days of the week where everybody can go and just take the swim test and you just they just oversee you doing i think you just swim to one side of the pool and back it's like one one lap wow i know i think it's kind of cool though i honestly think it's like i don't mind i'm guessing that'll go away in the next 10 years because people are going to be like i shouldn't have to take my shirt off in front of other people to swim in the pool
You know, I actually haven't looked up.
Maybe it's already gone away.
But no, Columbia, what's, you know, Columbia is kind of known for holding to some of these old school ideas.
Like for instance, they have two required courses that everybody who goes to Columbia has to take.
One is a year long literature course where you study all, and it's like the great books kind of, you know, like, so it starts with Western, like it's all Western, but it's, it'll start with like Homer and,
And go all the way to the 20th century by the end, and you have to do it in discussion groups.
And then the second year-long course, you take your second year, is called Contemporary Civilization.
It's all philosophy and politics.
Oh, that's interesting.
Dude, they're the greatest courses ever.
And they're very variable as far as how they're taught, because they're mostly taught by grad students or TAs, because everybody has to take it.
So there's a lot of sections of it.
But if you get a good teacher, or even if you don't, you have a great discussion group of fellow students.
