He existed in two separate Londons, one for the wealthy middle class and one for the poor and destitute.
The fact that his victims were from a lower social class, that was not an accident.
It's not like he just wandered in there and was like, well, I'll just do this.
They were likely chosen because, among other things, it was unlikely that London police would work very hard to solve the murders.
Right, because they consider that a quote-unquote high-risk job.
And it's a major factor in this case, the Atlanta Ripper case as well.
Because violence against black men and women had become such a common occurrence in Atlanta following the 1906 massacre, it's actually difficult to pinpoint exactly when these Ripper murders began.
Some believe it began with the murder of 29-year-old Della Reed on April 5th, 1909.
