A few months later, they actually did arrest Colombe after he robbed a bank in Mississippi. So he was definitively ruled out as a suspect at that point. So after Kristen's body was removed from the field and all the evidence was gathered, Tonzi and the other state police investigators started interviewing witnesses and just conducting like door-to-door canvases, basically.
