Because it used to be the center backs were sort of positioned that you would have plenty of.

And that doesn't seem to be the case anymore.

At the high level, anyways.

You think of a club like Bayern Munich and they're blessed to have

Kim, Ta, Upamecano, that they can rotate those guys that Kim is sort of coming off the bench whenever he gets to play.

But I can't think of many clubs at the very top end of European football that have a rotation of three or four centre-backs that they can play.

If the answer is go watch Sunderland, then I don't know.
