It didn't do well.

It was a bit of a flop.

However, years later, The Hunchback of Notre Dame has become one of the most successful Disney movies ever.

So it goes to show that even if something flops on the first go, it doesn't mean it's a forever flop.

Yeah.

Like it can still grow and become more than what

the initial reception or thought or attitude towards something is.

And, yeah, in the show it was just such a throwaway line but it literally, like, hook, anchored, sinkered into, that's not a word, into my brain and your brain as well.

We both just looked at each other and we were like, oh, my God.

I was dead at that point.

I was a puddle on the fucking chair.

In X-Men there's a guy who, like, turns into a superhero and his thing is literally he becomes a puddle of water and that was fucking me because he fucked me up.

And I was also leaving to go away from a week from you and I was like, that is the craziest thing you've ever done to me.

Sorry about that.

And, yeah, he said the thing is you work just as hard on the things that succeed as well as the things that don't and you care as much about them.

And I think that was such a beautiful thing and a really important thing to note that he still loved all of his work.

Yeah.

And it didn't matter how other people thought of it.

It didn't matter if it –

won an Oscar or if no one fucking had heard of it and he still, like, was sitting there believing in these things going, you know, I really hope we can bring this back to Broadway one day.
