Is the country changed forever by this?

I'm not sure.

It's a very difficult question to ask.

It's certainly been changed this week.

But when you spend time here at Bombay Beach during the day, the crowds that we're witnessing tonight do thin out.

After sunset, people do come out.

When you go to the beach, there are people surfing and playing football.

So for many, life is getting back into the groove.

But of course,

Bondi Beach will always now be known as this place of an atrocity.

Eventually, life will get back to normal, but not for the people directly affected by the shooting.
