The Spurs are interesting to me because, you know, we have no history, Saran, in the modern NBA of a team with no playoff experience going all the way to the finals.
The closest thing we have is the Shaq and Penny Magic, who got swept by Jordan in the mid-90s in the first round.
Jordan goes to play baseball.
The Magic make the finals the next year and lose to the Rockets.
I've been saying for a while that the Spurs, the lack of playoff experience was going to catch up with them, and I think it has to an extent in this playoff series with the Wolves.
Obviously, Rudy Gobert, the fellow Frenchman center, has known Wemby a long time as a mentor to him.
It's like the master versus apprentice Star Wars stuff going on here.
But the suspension, a quick thought there is just that, to your point, he's been a Boy Scout up until this.
I think that, you know, your track record should mean something, especially in the playoffs.
I also think the NBA probably wouldn't want their future hopeful ratings darling to miss a game if they can avoid it.
And the NBA hasn't really handed out a lot of suspensions during this postseason, which has surprised me.
