And for me personally, It's an obvious one. It is the Houston Rockets, just because they have the most stuff going on. First, even if they don't jump up, they're likely going to have a top 10 pick in this draft. And I'm so interested to see how they handle drafting and potentially incorporating another high pick.

seeing how hard it's been for guys like Cam Whitmore or Reed Shepard to really break into this rotation and have a big role. But maybe it's time for a big move, and maybe that pick will be involved in a star trade. They will be one of the few teams that can have cap space. With the rise of Amin Thompson this season, do they start reorganizing their team building around him a little?

Houston has been incredibly patient, to their credit, but it feels like this is the summer where they are primed for a big move. On the other hand, what if they make a run in the playoffs? What if they make a surprise run to the conference finals? How would they handle that? There's so many ways this summer can go for Houston, and that's why they'd be my first choice when that time travel arrives.

Yeah, I was encouraged by some of the things I read about David Edelman. It seems like the players really like him. Apparently, he was going to be a hot name on the coaching market. Like Portland might have been interested in him if they moved on from Chauncey Billups.

But yeah, thinking about like building around Jokic, it kind of reminds me of like the old hardened teams where it really did feel like you could just stumble into 50 to 55 wins every year. You know, if you just put just some regular NBA players around him and it just feels like they still haven't like maximized it.

You know, Houston had a couple seasons where they I mean, they were in like the 60s, you know, and the fact that this Jokic team, the most wins they have has been 57 last year. You know, it just feels like a Jokic team should be able to win 60 games. You should be able to put a team around Nikola Jokic that wins 60 games. But they've struggled to do that so far. So, yeah, I'm interested as well.

Next award, the Pleasant Surprise Award. This award goes to the player or team we were most pleasantly surprised by. And for me... This story starts back in the 2021 season. The Thunder were in the midst of their first tanking season. And as fans of tanking teams know, it's very easy to start talking yourself into whatever random player your GM has added to the roster.
