And it's just very fun to think back to those early tanking days and how obsessed we were with, I mean, Sfima, Hiluk, you know, I was getting into all these guys, Hamadou Diallo and, And Ty Jerome ends up being the best out of that bunch.

I mean, shout out to the Rocket Star, the Slammys so far. They've been picking up so much hardware tonight, Andrew. It's unfortunate. All right, our next award, the At Least You're Not Nico Harrison Award. Now, this award goes to the worst in-season decision that does not involve Nico Harrison. So you can't pick the Luka trade. And I'm going with the De'Aaron Fox trade.

Now, I think if you look at the value in a vacuum, it's not the worst trade I've ever seen. But why I hated that trade was that I felt it showed a complete lack of vision from the King's front office. They were the 10th seed when they made that trade.

The odds of them getting better in the short term in any Darren Fox trade was always going to be low because he was going to be the best player in any deal. But instead of using that trade as an opportunity to pivot, They made treading water the priority in that deal. And they're a great example of how the play-in has warped our view of where teams are at.

They are seven and a half games back of the eighth seed. They are not a good team. They aren't close to being a good team in this Western Conference. And two seasons from now, the 26-27 season, DeRozan is going to be 37. Levine and Sabonis will be on the wrong side of 30. And the Kings will have just under 150 million committed to those three.

Unless you think Zach Levine is going to turn down his $49 million player option. They've locked themselves into this older core that has no chance of competing in this Western Conference. And they could be fighting just to make the play in in future seasons as younger teams like San Antonio, New Orleans and Portland improve.

So if you knew that swapping Fox for Levine wasn't going to make you better, which I think everyone would have agreed with at the time, why would you trade for him? It's not like they were trading for a contract that they could potentially flip for value later. The reporting for two seasons now was how cold the market was for Zach Levine. And Chicago's return in that deal supports that idea.

So what was the vision with that trade? They made themselves worse, which I think was inevitable. That's not a problem. But they also limited their future flexibility by trading for the Levine contract, and the upside is a couple picks, the best of which won't convey until 2031. I just think that trade was really bad and is only going to look worse in these next couple seasons.
