Just as an example of how things changed.
He had he averaged 39 passes per game.
Fred Van Vliet led the team with 59 passes per game.
Last season, Ahmed Thompson led the Rockets in passes per game with 53.
So much more was put on his shoulders.
And as a result, it it we came away feeling a little bit disappointed.
But what I'm thinking of is one, I thought he got better as the season went on.
Post All-Star break, 28-5, 64% true shooting.
The other thing I'm betting on is that
Shen Gun is not going to make it.
I think that after two consecutive playoffs where he shot under forty seven percent from the field as a center, I just feel like public opinion has swung against Shen Gun, which could potentially affect his all-star candidacy, maybe open the door for men Thompson.
And I don't have any necessarily positive things to say about a man shooting.
I don't think he's suddenly going to shoot threes, but I do think it was notable that he shot seventy eight percent.
From the line last year on 4.9 attempts per game.
I do think if he's going to break through the net that next level, that could be a way it could happen.
He may never develop a shot.
He's probably not a point guard.
But I think that he can be a super impactful player in a lot of other ways.
And with Katie being 38, Fred Van Vliet coming back from injury, I think that the window has opened for the Amin Thompson All-Star candidates.
