And what do you, like, we know that it's far more scientific the way the players are prepared and they go through the GPS numbers and that type of thing.
But there's this thing called touch.
and being out there at speed.
And I think there's a physical adjustment that needs to take place.
Now, I'm sure he's been doing a lot of physical worker training and that type of thing, but the fact that he's actually in a game, they're not going at the same speed that AFL players are going to be going at.
Well, why have they brought him in, you reckon?
Well, I think there's a sign of desperation associated with this as well.
They've got Artie Jones.
He's playing some great small forward footy.
I don't know about desperation, do you?
Well, you have to consider there's an act of desperation based on this because the guy hasn't played for pretty much two seasons and you're bringing him straight back into the team.
Now, I'm not saying that they haven't been diligent in their preparation of him, but I'm just saying that, you know, why wouldn't you give him a week or two out in the VFL side just to get his legs, his proper footy legs underneath him?
Like, he's going to blow up.
There's no way known you can be out of football that long and not blow up quickly and find it difficult.
Just the touch and all that thing.
So why else would you bring him back if there's not some sort of form of desperation about winning the team?
They must think he's at the capability and level where he can contribute in a meaningful way.
And they've got no question about that.
Will Day, for instance, came back and played through the VFL.
