Um, there's a lot of good shit going on constantly, but perfection is not really a like plausible objective.
Like we're never going to get perfection.
Um, so I'm a lot more pragmatic now, but I do see a lot of beauty and perfection.
Yeah, at some point, some bit flipped, and I realized you got to just do the 80-20 lots of times.
You got to do 20% of the effort, this 80% is good, and you just have to be okay with that.
And you just have to do that over and over and over again.
So at some point, I internalized that, and it's like anathema to perfectionism.
It's the exact opposite.
And so now I think about it as like, hey, there's some things where perfectionism really is the right answer.
And there's some things where you just got to, you just got to like be okay with imperfection and just like speed is the objective versus perfection is the objective.
So, and yeah, I would say now, honestly, I think more things, like most things are speed is the objective, not perfection.
So yeah, I would say I've kind of had like a whole journey with it.
What was it that flipped you?
I think what, like, so there's this thing that Elon says to people at his company when they're in, like, when they're, like, a crisis situation.
And he says, like, hey, like, you know, let's say you're in a crisis situation and, like, people are, like, not figuring out how to deal with it.
And then he asks, like, imagine there was a bomb strapped to your body
that will go off if you don't come up with a solution to this problem.
Then what are you going to do?
And then most of the time when people actually think through that scenario, they focus and they get their act together and figure out something to do.
