Our worst addictions are to emotional states, shame, guilt, anger, resentment, self-loathing, self-victimization, fear. And they plague us, especially when rumination, which is obsessive thought processes, but something that most likely will not happen, but it's projected into the future. And that's something we do to create anxiety out of nothingness. We often do that.

And even though we have precedence that we've done this a hundred times in the past, and the chances of this thing that we focus on almost never happens, we don't register that we keep doing it. So where is our awareness? Where is the intelligence that such... sophisticated species of human beings. Why do we not notice this? Yet we do it. And then if we reflect on the past, then we're depressed.

So we have these two things that we feed off of. So basically we spend time and energy in focusing on something that's not good for us. What can cure that? Well, awareness. discernment, really paying attention to even how paying attention has changed, has diminished. But the ultimate goal is to get to self-love.

And the absence of self-love is the root cause of all of our issues from what I'm noticing in myself and many of the people I've worked with, thousands of them.

Drama that's infinite and it goes into fractal like and worse things can manifest and it's all a story that we're creating in the head. But it's based on misguided perception, malinvested energy, and waste of time and energy. That's why a practice is important.

That means every day I do something through which I express respect to my entire being on the physical, mental, emotional, spiritual, energetic levels. Whether sitting and meditating or doing yoga, working with sound, doing breath work, going and working with other professionals to help supporting us so that we do our own healing. The language around it is not accurate.
