Now, we know it's a muscle strain in Messi's left hamstring, but considering it's the beginning of the season that's upon us and that it's a World Cup year, it's a little hard not to panic, Alex.
So this is why we had to bring in reinforcements.
Whenever we're talking about any and everything Messi or Inter Miami, we got to bring in my girl Lizzy Becerrano.
Lizzy, welcome back.
to the show.
Like I said, it seems like a muscle strain.
It seems like maybe in two weeks time he could be okay, but it's a World Cup here and it's messy we're talking about.
So we're tempted to hit that panic button.
How bad is this injury?
That makes us breathe a little easier, Ale.
Yeah, I don't know if they want to hear that, though, Ale, because it's interesting, Lizzie, what Ale had to say.
It's true.
We all know deep down inside, Messi's number one priority has always been and will always be playing for the Albi Celeste, especially with the World Cup now just a couple of months away.
But what's the expectation now for the season opener?
Because it is upon us.
It's two Saturdays away now against LAFC at the Coliseum.
So what's the expectation of us actually seeing him playing in that?
And it's interesting to say that Lizzie because of course now since they've had to push back the game in Puerto Rico and we understand that it involves the government and other powers that be and they're doing it with the interest of the fans who let's be honest they just want to see Messi but it's now coming at an awkward time because it's right in MLS season so is that game now almost more important than that first game against LAFC because there's still the rest of the season to go.
Ale, how do Inter-Miami, I suppose, manage this situation?
