I didn't even know plovers were a thing. Cute little birds. But now comes the theory of our lives. And I'm just going to say it's listed in our notes as unknown theory. Okay. And I'm not saying we don't know what it is. I'm saying the theory itself is unknown and I have to talk about this. Okay.

So concluding Ruppelt's chapter on the Lubbock lights, he claims that they are an quote, easily explainable natural phenomenon. End quote. Sorry. He says that though, to be completely clear, he hasn't disclosed what the theory is. Of course. Get this man out of here.

He's got nothing. He's got nothing. That's like that attitude in elementary school when you're like, oh, I know the answer. I'm not going to tell you. Right. Why would you say anything? No, you don't. Here's what makes it worse. Okay. So according to Ruppelt, again, it's coming through him. A scientist tested his mysterious theory and proved it.

Whatever it was, a scientist came through and proved this theory. And so I'm going, why aren't you telling us then? We're out here pulling our teeth out for some reason over these lights at night. I want to know if aliens exist and how thick are they if they do? And you're going, I proved it. Why isn't anyone saying anything?

Right. Tell us. Speak out loud. Use your words. You have a whole book. Yes. Here's the thing. So I'm trying to give him some credit here because there are some lightly, lightly relevant theories, sub theories that could fall into natural phenomenon that I think that I was just kind of positing could fit. Right. So moths at night. Again, now we're talking real low altitude.

I'm talking inches above your head and you're thinking that there are lights in the sky. Optical illusions brought on by temperature inversions. Certainly something we've talked about in this podcast. We've talked about temperature inversions showing up on radar. Something to think about. Atmospheric mirages, of course, could also play into the case here.

But the problem with these theories is, again, cloud cover. If this thing was above the clouds, some of these mirages don't really happen on super cloudy nights.
