It's just a subject that if you watch the show, the food is such a huge part of it.
Well, I think fair play to him because he's got us all talking about Ryanair again.
But I think he's gone after something now that a lot of people hold very dear to their hearts, including me.
I'm a big fan of the airport pint.
When I first wrote my book, A Compendium of Pints, it was one of the first chapters I wrote.
It was the first thing that sort of came to mind when
I was thinking, what are like the quintessential pint occasions that we really hold dear to us?
And I think for a lot of people, that's the pint in the airport.
Well, I mean, most of the time you're hopefully going on your holiday, so you don't really care if you're going to be dehydrated.
I mean, obviously, the people that are flying in and out for business or other things are not necessarily going to the bar.
But most people, it's maybe once or twice a year that you're doing it and the rulebook is gone.
You want to kind of mark that you're
this is your holiday time, this is different, if I want to have a pint at 5am or 7am or whatever, you can do that.
It's just like a marker to say, out of office, here we go.
Well, I personally have never seen that happen.
And I fly a lot.
I would say most of the kind of disruption I see, particularly at Ryanair Gates, is people getting into fights over the bags and whether they are getting charged or not.
Like, I know it does happen.
And of course, O'Leary is not going to say that unless he has the statistics to back it up.
