So you guys know that I used to be a performer and I once did a dance.
Like it was choreographed.
I did not choreograph.
Did I choreograph?
No, I did not choreograph this one.
It was a beautiful dance, but it was to Sufjan Stevens' John Wayne Gacy.
And it's a beautiful song, fantastic song, beautiful song.
I mean, the lyrics are very evocative, and it's about John Wayne Gacy, as you can imagine.
And usually I can, there's like, it's kind of like prosecuting.
There's like the wall, right?
Where it's like, this is your artistic life or this is your professional life.
And then there's real life.
That particular piece stuck with me.
I would wake up with nightmares.
I was John Wayne Gacy in the nightmares.
Like I was doing those horrific things.
I could not separate it.
And like, neither could anyone else who was doing this piece.
And it was just too much.
Like by the end, I was like, the last time I performed it, I was like, I've never been happy to see a piece go.
