Regarding your current conversation...

Not making sense.

People can't understand it.

But regarding the Royals, the guy yesterday who just wanted to, I think, crucify Matt Potrero, I wonder, does he not understand that Matt Potrero manages the game in situ, but outside of that, he manages the coaches who manage the players.

He can't, you know, in Giselle's words, throw the ball to himself.

And, in fact, he doesn't throw the ball to anybody.

But I think that this has a lot to do with the other things we're hearing about soccer right now.

People who hate soccer and don't want it here.

It has nothing to do with soccer.

It has to do with the fact that...

We just don't want anything to disrupt our smooth path to whatever we think is right.

And the people who are choosing to hate soccer sound insane.

It is nothing but beneficial for an amazing thing like the World Cup to come to the middle of the United States.

And I love hearing you all discuss it.

I love hearing how foolish people get about it.

And I just wish we could all calm down about everything because the idea that everything is each and every one of us individual, my way or the highway, is no way to run a baseball game, a soccer tournament, or for that matter, a country.
