They would also hear what we call.

ABA achieving best evidence.

From witness A and witness B. Their pre-recordings.

That are made by police at the time of interview.

They will be played to the court.

And then the witnesses themselves.

Will be questioned.

Have additional questions asked of them.

By both the prosecution and the defence.

So you would imagine you would start with Witness A, but we didn't.

We started with Witness B. And she said that the witnesses had stepped forward and reported what they said was difficult and traumatic incidents.

They alleged that what happened to them was when they were much younger.

And that, again, as I said, their ABA interviews, their Achieving Best Evidence, will be shown to the jury.

She said that those pre-recorded interviews, the women would then answer questions, both the prosecution and defence department,

but said that Witness B had claimed that she was sexually abused by Geoffrey Donaldson, claiming that the defendant would put his hands in her pants a lot.

The jurors also heard that the witness alleged that there are two incidents that she claims to have remembered vividly.

And the first was an incident prior to her starting secondary school.

And she told police that she remembers that he had touched her chest and put her fingers inside her pants and her genitals.

He had then pushed her feet apart and sexually assaulted her.
