Whateley

Yeah, I was at the Junction Oval on the weekend and the lights are up and what I'm told, they're about to be plugged in and even turned on.

We've seen what that's done at Allen Border Field in Brisbane and Karen Rolton Oval in Adelaide and the ability to have, I guess, a venue in Melbourne that is, um, available during the boxing day test, for example, um, is an opportunity, but it's pretty exciting.

I know Cricket Victoria are looking forward to it.

Yeah, we've dipped our toe into the, I guess, let's call them the stadium games for WBBL.

Whateley

I think there's some interest for one or two clubs to keep a game there, but we've had a look at those for now.

We'll be back playing in primarily, I guess, the more unique or traditional WBBL venues, North Sydney Oval and Dromoyne and Allen Borderfield and the Junction Oval.

Whateley
Alistair Dobson | Executive General Manager, Big Bash Leagues (24.06.26)

Yeah.

Whateley
Alistair Dobson | Executive General Manager, Big Bash Leagues (24.06.26)

Right now, we think that's the best fit for the WBBL.

Whateley
Alistair Dobson | Executive General Manager, Big Bash Leagues (24.06.26)

It is the world's best cricket league for women.

Whateley

We still are very passionate about that from a quality perspective.

Whateley

The same truth exists for the WBBL that we need to be competitive globally.

Whateley

We need to keep investing in the WBBL.

The players are rightly now incredibly well rewarded around the world to play in the WPL in India and now the 100 in the UK.
