They use chillers, which are these huge air conditioning units, to keep it cool inside those data centers.
And that requires a use of water.
And that's why people are concerned is the amount of electricity that they're using, that it's going to have a negative effect on the electrical grid.
and the water.
In fact, there have been some claims of water contamination.
But that's controversial a bit, but we'll see.
Then the reason that... Another question by Maggie is, what's up with data centers being built and why the rush?
Well, they're being built because we're using computers more and more every day.
And a lot of that is what
happening with artificial intelligence, or as you and I know it, AI.
What happens is, and this is a generalized, some of you that are computer people will probably laugh at me and feel free to email me and correct me or post it on YouTube or some other place where you can comment on it and help me understand better.
But the way I understand it is,
is that what AI does and how it learns to think, all right?
In fact, today, when I gave you the percentage numbers that Rahman had to have in order to get to the percentage she got to of the mail ballot voting, I actually just put that question in AI and it calculated for me and it gave me the formula.
So what happens is, is that
There's all this data.
Every time we're on the computer, this data is being collected, all right, about our own preferences, things like that.
And they use that data to then analyze to come up with answers or to answer your Google inquiry or your AI inquiry or, again, your shopping, whatever it is you want to buy and what have you.
So that...
is all this data, and it's more and more and more.
