Because if they're going to take the money and just use it to go on a vacation or do something frivolous with it, then I wouldn't do that.

If you want to help the grandkids, but you don't really trust the kids, then you could give directly to the school if they're in a private school or put a 529 plan in place for their college tuition and what have you.

But I think if I had to go do it over again, is I sure that I wasn't trying to spend all my time trying to change my spouse.

And I would spend more time trying to get to learn my spouse and learn more about me than I would be trying to change them.
