The protests are just like the boat parades.
Okay, they're not the work that's being done every day in these boats.
And what you do is you just go and you find somebody that's doing good work in your community.
Then you show up and you ask, what can I do?
And then you humbly do the work that the people tell you to do.
And it's not sexy.
It's not like you have your Instagram and you're filming yourself being a badass.
It's very slow and person to person.
Then you develop these relationships and not only relationship, but you slowly develop a worldview.
that is constantly talked about in these circles, that is that you're not stunned when these things happen.
These are part of what you've been preparing for and teaching and learning in these groups, right?
And then suddenly you do feel a little bit less alone
You have your network.
You have your community.
You know where the call's coming from.
You know where to give the call.
It feels different.
And I think for me, when I have taken my foot out of that world and allowed myself to be absorbed into internet land, that is where, I mean, you know, Abby, like that's when I start to lose it.
That's when I start to buzz too high.
