They can't hold leads on the 6-5 situations.

On paper, this looked to be tailor-made for Kent Hughes, but he could not get it done and lost out to the Edmonton Oilers.

Dallas got themselves a right shot defenseman as well, acquiring Tyler Myers from the Vancouver Canucks for a second rounder in 2027 and a fourth rounder in 2029.

Tyler Myers had a say in where he was going to go.

He picked Dallas.

But when you look at that, the payment, second round pick and a fourth round pick, just a fourth round pick more than it cost for Phil to know.

And we know how ineffective he's been so far.

Hasn't been able to solve the Canadians penalty killing woes.

Now, when we talk about how some of these things are going to affect the Montreal Canadiens, the Buffalo Sabres already had a pretty decent decor and they got even better because they acquired Logan Stanley and Luke Shen from Winnipeg.

Yeah, and in this case, it was very public, unfortunately very public, that the Buffalo Sabres were going after Colton Pareko from St.

Louis.

And that fell apart when Pareko said, no thanks.

He would not waive his no trade to go to Buffalo.

The Sabres said, no matter.
