And what came to mind to me when I responded to him was, this is really risky because we don't have a great track record of failed states
Being good for the world.

So we know terrorists come from failed states.
When you have failed states, you have mass migration and mass humanitarian issues.
We already have a problem at our borders with migration coming from people from failed states.

i know that the trump administration and republicans i guess in congress seem to think that this is a good thing and we're now going to get a democratic cuba and it's going to be peaceful and all this that's that's a that's a big risk here and the other thing about this is
As you sort of alluded to, the current administration is reportedly trying to find elites within the Cuban government that could play a similar role in leading the country like the acting Venezuelan leader right now.
So we got rid of Maduro.
We kidnapped him.
But we didn't do regime change in Venezuela, right?
Basically, it's the same regime there.
It's just a different person.
And so what Trump is trying to do here is that same thing, it appears.
So I just, I don't know.
I feel like Trump and Rubio are trying to get an attaboy.
And this is very dangerous for Cuba to collapse.
