Spend the day together.
Everything you consume will end up as landfill.
And so if you've got environmental concerns, it's a really great motivation to move to this intentional living.
And one of the benefits of living as a minimalist, living with a decluttered and organised home is you have a positive environmental impact.
What I find is that homes that are absolutely overrun with staff often kind of have a priority over their environmental impact, but they have no time to actually implement what they want to do.
And so I'll go to homes that have all this soft plastic for recycling or all these bread tags or all of these clothes that need to become rags and donated.
But they don't have the time to actually do anything about it.
And so if you make the initial decision, the best, best environmental decision you can make is buy less stuff because then it never, ever has to be manufactured, transported, processed, stored, used, put into landfill.
And then you actually have more time so you can then think about, okay, well, what kind of toilet paper would I like to use and make a good decision around that?
What kind of car would I like to drive?
Oh, I'm going to make a good decision around that.
What type of electricity plans do I want to be on?
You can actually make all these decisions.
What type of clothing do I want to use?
Oh, actually the best thing for the environment is I don't have too many clothes turning over all the time.
I buy good quality clothes.
I wear them for a long time.
So all of these things allow you to have that environmental impact that you want.
