And look, this was a woman, as we mentioned, who was loved.
She had a lot of furs.

and Haitian-American female commissioner in the city of Coral Springs in 2020, and then she was re-elected again.
And as you pointed out, I think it's so interesting that she was appointed to serve as vice mayor by her fellow commissioners.
Everyone spoke so highly of this woman and her actual care and concern for the people she served.
I mentioned she was an environmental scientist,
And she got her master's degree from Johns Hopkins.
I mean, this was a smart, accomplished woman who had her sights set on a bigger political career.
And it makes me so sad to think about, I mean, obviously the value of a human life is the same, but to think about what she still had left to contribute and what good she still had left to do in this world, it's beyond tragic to have that cut short.

Life isn't more valuable than any other.
And there are so many of these stories we won't hear about today.
There will be women who will be hit, abused, and killed by their partners today.
All those stories, yes, are always worth pointing.
All those lives are just as much of value.
But this is the one who was out there, who was...
whose story we do know, the story we do connect to in a lot of ways.
