Corey says that the night Eric died, they decided to have a Moscow mule and a lemon drop.

She told the deputies after the two drinks, she and Eric turned in for the night.

One of their sons was having a rough night having nightmares, so she went to lie down with him.

She stayed in his bed, likely fell asleep for some time.

When I sleep with my kids, I wake up and I go back to my own bed.

I just crawled over on his side.

And then she realized something wasn't right.

He wasn't snoring.

Normally he snored.

She jumped out of bed.

She turned on the light.

He doesn't have a pulse.

Corey called her mom, Lisa Darden, with the horrible news.

I'm in my house.

When Lisa got there, she wondered if Eric's recent allergy shots had something to do with his death.

Soon, they got word to Corey's older brother, DJ.
