And because they've got such a small window to be affected, they have to go out every night.

And within that period, you're going to get shot, you're going to get caught, or something's going to go wrong.

You're handling live explosives every night.

Something's going to go wrong.

So your life expectancy is incredibly short.

And they weren't expected to be anything like the French resistance in terms of long-term resistance.

This is a really short, sharp snap at the heels of the invading German army and a suicide mission.
