MI6 is obviously the foreign secret service.
They should be operating.
But they're operating in the UK now.
And these civilians were to only become operational once we'd been defeated.
So, and this is, again... Holy shit.
Yeah, resisting occupation.
So these guys were, during the invasion period, carry on as normal.
And then as soon as their area was occupied, they'd become active.
And this is just the most remarkable story because MI6 is recruiting.
Again, they're finding key men within towns and villages.
And this is, by the way, everywhere in the country.
Bristol counties, Midlands, Liverpool, all over the country.
They're recruiting those key men or key people, people who could carry on with their occupations during an occupation of this country.
But also, particularly, again, doctors and vicars and shopkeepers, people who had a place of business where it wouldn't look suspicious if people were coming in and out all the time.
Section 7's role is...
is threefold we think uh one is an information gathering about the occupying forces so which german group is in that my town or village what are they up to where are they based there's a guy one guy's come forward called uh peter atwater he was 14 when he was recruited into section seven um he was an arp messenger he was part of the air training corps so he had
some training.
He was in Matlock in Derbyshire.
His initial role was as a courier and kind of observer.
So he would look at the German army occupying Matlock.
