And that concludes this edition of The Chipping Forecast.

The Chipping Forecast
US OPEN WEDNESDAY

Wishing you a safe and pleasant night.

It's time now for the Chipping Forecast in association with Peter Millar.

Brought to you by Andrew Cotter, Eddie Pepperell and special guest Ian Carter.

Hello, Andrew Carter here.

It's now half past ten in the evening and I'm back from the tennis match that didn't even finish.

And I'm quite angry as a result.

Angry and with man flu.

So angrier than normal.

Angrier than I was playing with Ian and playing some of the most colossally awful golf that I've managed to come up with.

in my half century plus years, except for the up and down in the last, which sort of reattached the nose, which had been bitten off my face by a badger on the back nine.

I'm also cross because I had done a lot of research into the history of Shinnecock Hills and things like the trial of the century after the murder of Stanford White, who was the architect of the clubhouse there and lots of other great buildings besides in New York and Boston and beyond towards the end of America's Gilded Age.

Didn't get to talk about it.

So instead, I'm here to tell you how to look good on or off the golf course.

In fact, I was wearing head-to-toe Peter Millar at Queen's today.

Odeon sneakers, Serge performance trousers for commentary performance, a waxed braided belt and an Estino lino linen shirt.

And at no point did anybody shout, get back on the fairways, golf boy.

In fact, I had a couple of very nice compliments.
