There's a group called the Safe Seaweed Coalition.
This is my kind of people.
I don't know if there's a dangerous seaweed coalition.
Possibly there is.
But basically, they advocate farming more of it.
And what they think is that if we just add a bit more seaweed, this will help secure a good chunk of the world's food supply.
If we farmed on 0.03% of the ocean's surface, you could add 10% to the world's food supply and free up a load of land that's currently used for farming crops.
You can actually provide a lot of this stuff with
seaweed um and there are various ideas like there are seaweed slash wind farms which is lovely where you've basically strung out lines grown seaweed on them next to a wind farm it just grows it doesn't need land it doesn't need fresh water it doesn't need fertilizers it just grows yeah and then you harvest it by attaching it to the wind turbine and like pulling it up like a spaghetti farm it's exactly like that
But basically, I think it's the food of tomorrow.
I hear you.
I hear you.
Everyone, this week's episode of Fish is sponsored by Babbel.
Now, if you don't know Babbel, Babbel is a way for you to learn new languages or to relearn languages you may have learned in the past.
And I don't know about you, Dan, if you have ever felt overwhelmed by the idea of learning a language, that is very common.
Almost everyone trying to learn a new language gives up.
