But I think the players were aware of it themselves coming into the tournament that they've not performed to their highest level at the last two international tournaments.

So is it a case of, you know, they'll put that pressure on themselves as well because if you're a professional athlete, they'll want to go out and show their best, Matt, and they'll maybe feel that they haven't done so.

And it's not as if people are expecting Scotland to get to the quarterfinals and the semifinals and the final.

But...

But, you know, Matt's talking about the fact that we do still have quality players.

We do have these talismanic figures in Scott McTominay and John McGinn and Andy Robertson.

And that's just what international football is.

Not everyone is at the same standard.

Players are sort of littered all over.

World football now playing at different standards.

But does there need to be a responsibility on those top players to drive the standards and show their best?

And can that then kick everyone else?
