I'm just going to add some sugar and maybe some peanut butter to balance the heat, and it'll be delicious.
All right, in this example, we heard a couple cooking together in the kitchen and the husband messed up.
He added too much chili powder into the recipe and because of that, it was really spicy and his wife doesn't like spicy food.
So she said, you know what?
Let's just throw out the food.

let's just order pizza.
The husband doubled down.
He said, no way, I'm not throwing this out.
I'm going to fix it.
I'm going to add sugar.
I'm going to add peanut butter, which is crazy.
I don't know what dish he's cooking, but adding chili sugar and peanut butter is probably going to result in something that's not so tasty.
So he is doubling down and saying, no, I'm going to fix this.
And so, yeah, we saw the husband being really stubborn, right?
He made a mistake, but instead of admitting the mistake and instead of just trying to fix it, he doubled down and, yeah, persisted in what he was doing and didn't want to change his mind at all.
