And so the reason that you cannot find consciousness in the material realm is because it exists somewhere outside of it, and in some way interacts with it, but in a way

Crude it may be, but be as that may.

It has legs and eyes and a tail and a nose.

All those features comprise that which a dog is composed.

It's merely clay in the shape of a dog.

A disguise.

This clay might display as a mouse or a snake.

But it's always still clay.

But if there's no difference between what we've previously seen and what we're currently seeing, then what does that mean for our very own being?

Now those of you more shrewd will see that I allude to this query of the dog being merely an analogue to a more acute problem in the way of truths and our pursuit of them.

For if I took you in my hand and crushed you with a blow, tell me if you'd understand where it is that you go's.

Atoms shaped like an ape?

An arbitrary aggregation?

Or are you more than the sum of your consistent parts?

Is it not at your mind where your existence starts?

Could your thinking thoughts not transcend mere material?

Could your mind not extend into something ethereal?

Now some scientists say that we are in fact clay.
