But the idea of travelling through space in a spaceship with alien friends and visiting strange new worlds, that idea appeals to me.
I remember a show called Lloyd in Space.
I'd love to try and find that again.
I think the main character was called Lloyd.
He was quite a generic looking alien, sort of like a green Martian with like a third eye on a stem on his head, I think.
And the whole show, the premise of the show was, I think he lived on a space station of sorts.
And his friends were a regular human boy with freckles, I think.
A little on the nose, I suppose.
But I remember that being really inspiring.
I really enjoyed that.
Another great show I enjoyed a lot was Buzz Lightyear of Star Command.
I think they did a really good job of expanding on the world.
of Buzz Lightyear from the very little sort of information that was conveyed via the Toy Story films because it's not expressly clear who Buzz Lightyear is or what Star Command is but they laid out a lot of a lot of lore
told a great story sometimes I do wish that the people who made the Lightyear movie the more recent sort of gritty reboot of Buzz Lightyear had paid more attention to the cartoon series because they really they really did a good job
Another show I used to really like was, also on the Disney Channel, called The Weekenders.
It's quite a niche show.
I don't think it's around anymore.
I'm not even sure you could get it on Disney Plus or wherever you find your Disney cartoons.
that show wasn't particularly fantastical in any way.
There weren't any fantasy elements.
