And the day after, it was in the days when in the newspapers you used to have your landline under your byline.
So I picked up the phone.
This is the day after the trial ended.
Picked up the phone, said my name.
And the person on the other end of the phone, he read out my address and he said, there's a bomb in it.
So I called the cops and then they said, yeah, we need to take this seriously.
So they sent in the bomb squad to my little flat in Newcastle and they swept the place.
And then they said, there's no bomb here, but, you know, we're going to have to take this seriously.
And they provided protection for me for the next few days.
two weeks um and really i wasn't allowed to leave the house other than to go to work where they basically gave me a motorcade it was it was great i felt like the president for a week but um no traffic lights no exactly and then i i did something similar where i was like i really fancy a pint so what i did was i sneaked out the back i jumped over my back fence met my mates for a couple of pints and then hopped back in without them realizing
