And all of a sudden, Joseph, your take is aging like fine wine here.
Years ago on this podcast, you said, I wouldn't be surprised if Matt Fitzpatrick was the best player in the world.
at some point in his career and right now he might be the best player in the world um he has been basically over the last year absolutely extraordinary i think when you you know maybe not fully to the scotty level yet but he's got four wins if you count the zurich which i don't know whether you want to count it or not so he's got three wins three individual wins he obviously had the really close runner up at the players where you know basically
Oh, so close.
He had to come down to the 72nd hole to win that.
He's got 14 top tens in the calendar year.
Just an extraordinary run of golf, really, since last year's Masters.
Hasn't missed a cut.
You know...
Won over Rory McIlroy in the DP World Final there.
But Matt Fitzpatrick's been just an absolute revelation over the last year.
And what I find amazing about it was, like,
This surge has come right after he reached basically probably the bottom, rock bottom of his professional career.
And now he's at basically the pinnacle.
This is without a doubt the best sustained golf that he's played in his career.
No, it's all right.
I, um, you know, I think if you go through the top 10 in the world right now, it's actually a pretty, um,
compelling case for what you're talking about.
Obviously Rory McIlroy unicorn, but I think what everybody's based, like the way they think about pro golfers is, is okay.
Tiger and Rory did it with sheer power.
