were so convincing he had to watch them twice to ensure they weren't real.
Now, I think the TikTok tΓ³niste has made so many videos at this stage, maybe he's forgotten which ones he's actually made.
But this idea that something that he didn't make, using presumably his face and his voice, that they can be so real that even he's confused by them is just baffling.
Which, sorry, just to say, which will not be announced until next October's budget, what it is.
But he's been speaking about it so often.
Maybe there are people who think, oh, maybe has that been announced and released now?
Well, in the way that a publisher cannot escape responsibility for what it puts in its newspaper or on its website.
So how come these tech giants have been allowed to get away with making enormous amounts of money as well from taking the advertising revenue from these scamsters?
Could it be, though, Andy, that what we need is some sort of legislation that people retain the rights to their own face
and video rights and their voice, so that if anybody uses an AI to replicate their voice or their face, that is a breach of the copyright of a person.
Okay, but this is becoming a major issue globally, isn't it, of advertising, particularly financial products and people getting scammed?
So the other thing is, I noticed last night Google, its owner Alphabet, put out its financial results.
And the FT is writing today about how the big four, Alphabet, Microsoft, Amazon and Meta, are spending $725 billion this year alone.
Wow.
on what they call the artificial intelligence infrastructure.
And that's before you get into what's been spent by the likes of OpenAI and Entropic and the rest of it.
The amount of money been spent on this is absolutely colossal.
But it's money that's been committed to it.
But can the data centres be built quickly enough?
And what about the environmental damage been done by the data centres?
