His name is Amar Subramanya, and he previously spent 16 years at Google, where he was the head of engineering for Gemini Assistant prior to his departure.
And he's got deep expertise in AI and ML research and integrating that research into products.
So, you know, Tim Cook made an announcement.
He's thankful for the role that John Gianandrea played and so on.
AI has been central to Apple's strategy, and we're pleased to welcome Ammar to Craig's leadership team.
In the organization at Apple, there's a fellow who's over a bunch of different divisions, and so he's going to be reporting to this fellow, Craig, while he's being referenced in that announcement.
So anyway, Apple, which hasn't really had a real strong performance yet to date,
But, you know, maybe, you know, coming through its four, let's not write Apple off yet.
They've got new leadership now with Amar Supramanya, who's come over from... Actually, another quick point, again, about the musical chairs.
Amar left Google to join Microsoft to head up their engineering as corporate vice president of AI in July of this year.
Okay, so he was at Google, he moved over to Microsoft, and now he's going to Apple.
Related to that, I'm just going to say I doubt that Shipmas is going to find its way into Merriam-Webster's.
