And she would like make us shake everything out on our porch before we came inside the house.

over the top like vigilant about roaches and assumptions about like cleanliness and some of that had to do with this idea of like shame and like socioeconomic shame and it's this says something about us like we might not have all the money etc but we're fastidious and when evidence of that is like

Well, you have to free yourself.

You have to free yourself from that shame.

You have to free yourself of the burden of, like, that roach ain't got nothing to do with you.
