And so they all knew we were coming.

And I texted them when Jenna and her kids were on the way.

And I said, okay, we're on.

Yeah, we did s'mores in the backyard.

Yeah.

Well, I was so happy to do it, Jenna.

I just love you.

I just know what it means.

And I know as a working parent, we all have to make sacrifices that are really hard.

I'm a working parent and I'm also a parent who has a child that has to navigate joint custody.

And it hits a real nerve with me because there are some moments that I miss out on because of joint custody, even though my joint custody is exceptionally great, really.

Like we get along great.

We work well together.

I'm on very good terms with her dad and her stepmom and

We really work together to make it all happen.

But there are still moments that you miss.

For example, some years you trade off Christmas Day and that's really hard, even though you're going to see her the next day to make it fair to both houses.

And so what we have stated in our family is it doesn't matter

what date it is.

It matters that you celebrate together as a family.
