So I didn't really have a mother as a role model, you know, the stay-at-home mom.
And I was very entrepreneurial.
Like when I was young, I would
do these dance classes for my neighborhood and I would charge 50 cents to come to my class.
I didn't know anything about dance, but so I had, you know, I started this little business in my basement and I just, you know, my family owned restaurants in Salt Lake City.
And I think, you know, you see that and I knew, you know, I just being a business owner sort of happened organically, but I had suggested to Sean after working together for years, why don't we open our own salon?
So I was a worker.
I had to get a job at 15.
So I think for me, having, you know, a job at a young age taught me that I had to work if I wanted anything.
So it was that came first.
And then our business just started to grow and we expanded and we got so caught up in all of that, that having a baby was not really on my radar, even though I deeply wanted to start a family.
And when I was 35, I just, the biological clock was ticking.
I woke up one day and I just thought we've been working our asses off and I want a baby.
And so I told Sean, like, it's time because I'm getting older.
And thank goodness I started trying.
I had Electro Naturally and, you know, it took me a year.
I tried to have another, but I was too old and it didn't happen for me.
So I just, yeah, I think I had a little bit of all of it, you know, I
being raised babysitting and then also being raised by a man that worked and I saw his work ethic and he was my role model and I saw, you know, I could do both.
And so, yeah, and I, I love, I love my job, but I stayed home and raised my daughter full time by myself until she went to school.
